Ugu District Municipality officially opened its own multipurpose skills centre situated at the Ugu District Main Office on 28 Connor Street recently.
This centre was officially opened by the Municipal Manager, Mr DD Naidoo and forms part of the municipality’s skills development initiative where all employee trainings will be conducted in-house in an effort to ensure that a wide range of employees are trained in various aspects of their employment.
The centre was built with an objective to save on training costs through using our own facility and be able to train larger groups.
This training facility will also be utilised as a computer training room for staff members who require basic computer skills training.  The training centre accommodates twenty trainees per session.
This skills development initiative will improve the performance of employees so they can effectively deliver services to communities.
Ugu District Municipality will continue to promote working together to create an environment that is friendly, responsive, accountable, effective and efficient for our communities.
