Blue Drop Certification evidence of non-contaminated water

In the spirit of the Section 68 of the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1997) and in line with the Blue Drop Certification requirements, Ugu District Municipality wishes to publish both its Blue Drop scores and water quality compliance against SANS 241 as scored in the Blue Drop 2010 assessment. The following table summarises the performance of each system.

Ugu's water systems were awarded a weighted score of 87.4% which means that it has very good Drinking Water Quality Management and effectively manages the quality of drinking water in its supply zones. Consumers can follow the current and historical water quality compliance for their respective areas and towns from the website www.dwa.gov.za/mywater and are encouraged to make maximum use of it.
